"Okay. So one day, the loud box in the ceiling (they call it “central air,” I call it “The Wind Beast”) turned on like usual. I braced myself for the whoosh. But this time... WHOA. The air didn’t smell like socks, meatloaf leftovers, or that suspicious plastic bag in the trash. No. It smelled like—get this—a magical breeze from a beach where squirrels bring you cocktails. I don’t know what a Pink Sand is. I’ve never seen sand that wasn’t stuck in my paws. But if Pink Sands is what’s coming out of the vents now? I'm obsessed. I follow the air around the house like it’s the tail I haven’t caught yet. It’s in the hallway. It’s in the bedroom. It’s in my nap zone. Every room now smells like what I imagine my human thinks Fiji smells like, except without the inconvenience of a bath. Even the mailman sniffed the air and paused before ringing the doorbell. Respect. I’ve stopped rolling in the laundry pile because now the floor smells better than the clothes. My only complaint? It doesn’t smell like bacon. But I’ll let that slide.
